Why Use Spinnit

The tool uses a standard Fisher-Yates shuffle before distributing names across teams, so no player is deliberately favoured or paired. Teams can be re-shuffled instantly if anyone disputes the draw. No data is stored, no account needed, and it works just as well on a phone as on a laptop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can teams end up with unequal sizes?

If the number of names doesn't divide evenly by the number of teams, some teams will have one extra member. The tool handles this automatically using a round-robin distribution.

Is there a limit on the number of names?

There is no strict limit. The tool works well with dozens of names and the output scrolls naturally for larger groups.

Is this tool free to use?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up required.

Does this work on mobile?

Yes, all Spinnit tools are mobile-first and work on any device.
